A coworker pointed out that a large moth on the wall outside our office. I grabbed the camera and took some photos of it. This is the one that came out the best. I thought it was pretty neat

Polly about 3 inches across. The funny thing is that it was still around our building even after a Hurricane... I don't think its cammo worked real well against our siding.

That is a pretty amazing moth. Cool shot, probably wouldn't have ever noticed it, if it weren't on a white background. It would me an amazing photo, if you could have somehow got a close up of this moth, in some kind of shrubbery or trees... in its naturalenvirornment w/ camoflouge. Nice picture.

I know you really like this one, but tonight I'm working on being a critic. :) First off, something personal, but I don't like the colors. I know they are the colors you saw, but mainly the grey wall really makes this less interesting than it could've been. You cropped a little of the wing off, but it doesn't bother me too much. It's a little on the grainy side, but I know it's hard to get much light back there. It looks like you focused on the torso, leaving the wings a bit blurry. I'm sure you had to open up quite a bit to get enough light on this one, but I would've liked to have seen the wings sharper. It is an impressive moth, however. You were lucky to be able to get close up to something like this and get some shots of it. I think I would've liked to have seen one where you weren't at an angle, and got both wings more in focus by shooting directly behind it.
